Qualifications Required / Preferred :
• Masters or Ph.D in Engineering (i.e. Electrical or Mechanical or Computer Science) or equivalent Strong academic record
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong programming skills and knowledge of at least one operating system
• 0-3 years of IT work experience
• Skills in model based design and/or production code generation
• Strong commitment to learning and personal development
• Flexibility to work a rotation schedule within the hours of operation

Having two or more of the skills listed below is a plus :
• Control Theory
• Embedded Systems
• Signal Processing
• Web Development
• MATLAB
• Java/JavaScript
• C/C++

• The Application Support Engineer position is divided into two central responsibilities which will provide you with a variety of skills, practical experience and career advancement:
• Application support - This will be your primary responsibility. With your product expertise you will help make our customers successful in the usage of our MATLAB and Simulink product lines. This involves resolving customer reported issues in a wide spectrum of products, applications and industries. Collaborating with specialists will help you understand customers’ requests and the background of their requests. Having a clear understanding of the issue, you will provide the customer with an appropriate solution. In addition, you act as a customer advocate if the issue requires internal escalation, keeping the customer informed of the progress. By providing feedback to our development organization, you enable the continuous improvement of our product lines. Your post-sales relationship with our customers is important to maintain their satisfaction in the long term. The feedback that you provide to our organization will be very helpful in understanding the needs of our customers.
• Collaborative project work - This is an additional career advancement tool available to you at MathWorks where you can discover your professional interests and goals through a variety of projects with multiple departments. These projects can last from one day to several months and can help you define your long term career goals at MathWorks. Projects generally fall within these three areas: Software Development, Business Development and Customer Training.
