- Maintainers : ITI in Engineering Trade like Electrician / Instrument Mechanic / Mechanic Radio and TV / Electronics Mechanics / Wireman / Fitter / Mechanic Computer Hardware / Mechanic – Industrial Electronics / Information Technology & Electronics System Maintenance / Mech. Communication Equipment Maintenance / Refrigeration and AC Mechanics / Masonry / Carpentry / Building.

Note : Reading, Speaking, Writing & Understanding of Kannada is compulsory for all the posts.
Age Limit (As on 01/01/2012) : Not more than 28 years for Section Engineer, CRM, Asst. (Finance). Note more than 25 years for junior Engineers, & 23 years for Maintainers.
BMRC Pay Scale / Salary :
- Section engineers : Rs. 16000-30770
- Jr. Engineers / CRM / Station Controllers / Train Operators : Rs. 14000 – 26950
- Maintainers / Assistant (Finance): 10170 – 18500
Fee : Rs. 200/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ST)
Selection Procedure : Written Exam – Aptitude – Skill Test – Interview – Medical Fitness Test
The selection will be made strictly as per merit, on the basis of written examination and Interview (85% and 15% respectively). Interview entails Aptitude / Skill Test/Psychological test wherever necessary. Short listed candidates will be called for verification of the original documents.

- After 15 days of updating fee payment details, candidates can check the status of their application.
